Parked Here — Terms of Use (EULA)

By downloading, installing, or using Parked Here (“the App”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App. These terms are between you and Shame Logic LLC (“we”, “us”, “our”).

1. Acceptance of terms

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference.

2. License grant

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple-branded devices you own or control, subject to Apple's App Store terms. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or redistribute the App except as permitted by law.

3. Description of service

Parked Here saves the location where you parked, shows the distance and direction back to it, and can keep that distance updating on your lock screen. It can optionally store a note and a photo of the bay, and it displays humorous “roast” lines for entertainment.

Free includes saving a parking pin, the walk-back distance and compass, the lock-screen distance, notes, photos, and roasts. Paid adds parking meter reminders, topping up the timer, and a history of your recent parks. Paid features are sold through the App Store as an annual subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase; either one unlocks the same features.

4. Not a safety or navigation service

The App is a convenience tool, not a navigation, safety, or emergency service. It shows a straight-line distance and direction, not a route, and it does not know about walls, traffic, one-way systems, or private property. Do not use the App while driving. Always pay attention to your surroundings and obey all traffic and pedestrian laws.

5. Location accuracy

Location accuracy depends on your device, on GPS signal, and on your surroundings. Multi- storey and underground car parks, tall buildings, and covered areas commonly degrade or block GPS entirely, and the App cannot distinguish between floors of a car park. The saved pin may therefore be inaccurate or unavailable. The App is provided as an aid to memory and must not be relied upon as the sole record of where you left your vehicle.

6. Parking meter reminders

Meter reminders are a convenience feature scheduled as local notifications by your device. They may be delayed, silenced, or not delivered at all — for example if notifications are disabled, if the device is off, in Do Not Disturb or a Focus mode, or out of battery. You remain solely responsible for returning to your vehicle on time and for any parking fine, penalty, clamping, or towing charge you incur. We are not liable for any such cost.

7. Subscriptions and payments

Paid features are processed through Apple's App Store and managed via RevenueCat. The annual subscription auto-renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your Apple ID is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the period ending. Manage or cancel in your Apple ID subscription settings. The lifetime option is a one-time purchase and does not renew. We do not process payment card data.

8. Content and conduct

Roast lines are written for comic effect and are not directed at any individual. They are entertainment, not advice. Notes and photos you save are your own responsibility; do not use the App to record anything you are not entitled to record.

9. Intellectual property

The App, including its design, roast lines, and branding, is owned by Shame Logic LLC and protected by intellectual property laws. Your pins, notes, and photos remain yours and stay on your device.

10. User data and privacy

Our collection and use of data is described in the Privacy Policy. We do not sell your personal information, and the App stores your parking data only on your device.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION, NOR THE ACCURACY OR AVAILABILITY OF ANY LOCATION FIX OR REMINDER.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SHAME LOGIC LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP, INCLUDING PARKING FINES, TOWING OR CLAMPING CHARGES, LOST OR UNFOUND VEHICLES, OR LOST TIME. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the App if you breach these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes shall be resolved in courts of competent jurisdiction.

15. Changes to terms

We may modify these Terms by updating the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

16. Apple-specific terms

This agreement is between you and Shame Logic LLC, not Apple Inc. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support. In the event of App failure to conform to warranty, you may notify Apple for a refund of the purchase price (if any). Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this EULA and may enforce it against you.
